Parenting is one of the most fulfilling roles a person can play in life. At Gateway Primary we believe that parents can be equipped to walk the parenting journey confidently.
The Parent Toolbox is available to provide information on the various resources that Gateway Primary has made available to parents to support them in raising their children.
Gateway Primary hosts seminars for parents. These seminars are usually an hour in duration, from 18:00 – 19:00 hosted in the hall.
Parents are invited to attend these events as they share helpful information on the process of parenting. If you wish to share any workshop ideas or topics please email [email protected] . Your contributions are welcome as we plan for future seminars.
Gateway Primary has various books available for parents to access. Please see Ariel Muvhunzwi at our Resource Centre if you would like to make use of this facility and he will assist you.
Any parents that wish to share additional resources with other parents are welcome to contact the Resource Centre who will be able to facilitate and manage the lending process.
The Resource Centre also serves as Gateway Primary School’s library. We have a wide selection of fiction and non-fiction books for the students to choose from and are always endeavoring to add to our library collection.
Library lessons are conducted during school mornings and are interactive lessons where books and authors are reviewed. A lot of progress has been made to move towards using a digital library system where books can be signed out using an electronic library system.
Parents are welcome to browse through the resources that we have on parenting and other family matters. Books on family activities for the whole family are also available. The Library is open from 7:10 am on a school morning.
Following Gateway’s accreditation to ASCI, our Resource Centre now has various ASCI books to equip our staff with the necessary skills and knowledge on how to creatively teach from a biblical perspective. Various books on Christian values, discipline, biblical integration and philosophy on Christian Education are available.
